how problematic are sata connectors?

i read about how the connectors are fragile and can break or that the cables come loose. what's your experience like? are they ever going to change it?

They are more fragile that ide yes but you have to be careful with ide too or you can bend pings. I will never switch back to ide as long as i have a choice. Wish more dvd/dvd burners came with sata connectors. I like the cables being smaller and the increase airflow.

Other than their sometimes weak physical connections, I love the whole concept, and they work great

No probs with mine. I'm not constantly swapping drives around. Seems like I've seen something about an improved, stronger version coming out.

There are some quality problems with older sata cables being stiff and flimsy seating. However more recent manufacured cables are softer and seat more firmly.
