Purely random poll....ah well. :)

I'm referring to push/self-propelled mowers -- not the tractors/mini-tractors.

6.5hp self-propelled Craftsman mower here..22" deck.

If you don't add a "I don't own a lawnmower" option in the next three minutes, I'm picking randomly.

1.0 nerd power. It sits and plans the most efficient path to mow the lawn, then waits for technology to implement the solution.

Scotts 6.5HP Self-Propelled 22" deck.

I really wanted the Honda Harmony 5.5HP with the Quadra-Cut and Xenoy deck. But that bastard was $700!!!!

[edit]

Mine has the big back wheels too :D:D:D

Though I only have a 48" deck :(

John Deere w/Briggs and Stratton engine. Not the best but it's doing the job.

18.5 HP Huskee 46" deck.

My yard is 2+ acres so it gets plenty of use.

I just got a free 20 year old Snapper push mower. They don't make 'em like that anymore, completely metal and not crappy plastic anywhere on that thing. Starts in 1 or 2 pulls when cold, won't start when hot though :shrugs. It is 3.5 HP although by now I'd guess it falls between 2.0 and 2.5 realistically.

6hp Toro Rear wheel propelled mulching mower..

There aren't too many rear propelled mowers around, so we had to do some searching for it.

Needed the rear propelled because of the hills. You get a better traction with it..

My lawnmower is about 6 feet, 200 pounds, he looks pretty strong, so I will say he is quite powerful.

I have an old self propelled 20" mower with a Briggs and Stratton 3.5HP.

I'll quote some comments I made in another thread;

That's what's going to happen to our lawnmower one of these days. The poor little Briggs and Stratton 3.5HP is worn out and doesen't develop any power at the normal "high" speed of 2900rpm, so I shortened the govenor spring and it cruises along at 3700RPM when mowing the lawn now. :p And even then it will die when you go too fast into a large patch of grass.

I just hope it doesen't throw the rod at me, projectile-like. :Q That would kinda suck.

As long as it doesen't put a hole in the crankcase, which it most likely will, I have a spare rod I'll throw in it for another season or so of (ab)use.

I'm already running 20W-50 in it, cause the rod knock is quite noticable with 30weight.. heh.

It's kinda almost a game. See if we can notch the abuse up a tad while still having it last the mowing season. I estimate 2 mows/month for the next 6 months. That's about 10 hours of operation... lol.

I think the reason that it dies so easily is more of a function of the blade being about as sharp as a brick... :p
