I had a group of around 12 very close friends, but wasn't particularly popular outside of that group. I'm still close to every one of those mates  Quality > quantity.

I was prom queen. The other guys were really uncomfortable with that.

I was a member of the chess club, captain of the quiz team AND president of the AV club.

I talk to everybody but the psychos and extreme dumb ass jock-like kids but does being popular even matter?

Was that really you?

I never hung out with anyone in high school. My closest friends were 2 years older than me and graduated already, they just came and picked me up when I was out.

I was one of those kids that got along with/had friends with all the different groups.

I didn't care, I could hang out with the jocks, stoners, nerds, preps all in the same or different weekend, while at school, whatever.

I was in 2 different high schools, 2 years spent in each. There weren't many definable cliques in the first one, and I had maybe 9 or 10 friends, 2 of them close friends. I had maybe 4 friends in the second high school, and none of them close. Didn't really fit into any of the cliques. I felt really out of place for some reason junior and senior year, and my personality changed somewhat.

I definitely wasn't popular in high school, and didn't really have a reputation for anything.

Got along with people from most cliques and had friend from each.

Strangely enough the only clique of kids I never liked were the ones most like me in the 'smart' classes, go figure.

After securing my valedictorian ranking I smoked a lot of weed and word got around so people and, regrettably parents, thought of me as the smart stoner

Did you have to go get a restraining order?

If not then it wasn't worth counting.

I didn't play sports nor was athletic. Wasn't very high on the totem pole in terms of "popularity". I wasn't completely obscure, the only things I was respected for was my musical abilities and academics ~ which only go so far in high school. I had a group of good friends, about 8 friends, 8 additional close acquaintances. I haven't talked to anyone of them in years. They all stayed close to home (within 300 miles), I was the only one to leave the state.

I had 3-4 good friends, 10-15 decent friends, a handful more of acquaintances. Not popular, but I was happy.

I wasn't all that popular, but people generally seemed to like me. Up until Senior year, I was pretty shut-in and shy, but then I made some key friends. The summer after senior year was pretty good - everyone was being pretty cool to each other at that point.

My nerdy, awkward friends have always been my best buddies, though.

Depends. When I was a freshman and sophomore I was a quiet nerdy dude with a few friends. My Jr and Sr year I was more popular...still not in with the cool crowd though by any stretch. I was more like John Bender.
