You make an appointment and take the whole day off from work just to wait for a service guy to come fix your burner... he never shows up... what do you do ? It's not the first time either...

I've already put a call in and a manager is supposed to get back to me... like that will ever happen... I'm just gonna have to keep calling I guess... doesn't that just piss you off ? If you've ever had to take a day off to be somewhere or do something, you'd know what I mean...
 
I've had that happen to me twice. I've found no amount of complaining helps. Kick back and enjoy the day off with a cold beer in your hands.
 
Ya know, if it happened to me, I wouldn't really care too much because I work from home anyway, but my dad doesn't get that many days off as it is and it's their house... fvcking irresponsible companies. I was ready to throw down with a guy on the phone if I reached him... I was at least nice to the secretary.

mention "lawyer" and "suing"? will that work?

my high school teacher did that to verizon to get them setup the local phone service. they told him it will be a week or two before they would come to set it up for it. he kept bugging them and there was a guy outside his home fixing it the next day. he got a law degree from columbia. 😉
 
I just spoke to one of the managers ... I'm telling the guy that it isn't the first time they were a no-show... he references some records that he has and it says they showed up everytime. I ask about today and how they were a no-show with no-call... he says their records show they called at 215pm and 355pm with no answer at my dad's. Funny, I called over there 3 times today and he answered each time. My dad swears nobody had called all day otherwise. He goes on about how they have an excellent service record and would call if they can't make it... blah blah. They can't show up today so my dad will have to call again tomorrow to reschedule.

Well it's great they think that people don't have to go to work while they wait for their no-shows... on top of that... he says I'm outright lying about this happening in the past... "bullsh!t" was the term he used... great...

We have a 5-year contract with them since they put the burner in at a discounted rate... so we can't get out... but there's just no end to their antics... I'm calling again in the morning and finding out if their records are indeed logged as he says... cause my parents spoke with them earlier today... but will they know what time ? We shall see... fugging 2nd class servicemen...
