The whole thing just looks really put together for something presented as a news photo.


Here is the caption it had :

A palestinian man tries to put out burning vehicles set on fire during clashes with Hamas militiamen.

Both the car and the man is in focus at the same time, so it probably is put together of two different images.

if the photo was from far away with a large telephoto zoom (as suggested by the compression of the depth of field), then theoretically they could both be in focus.
however, that also looks heavily photoshopped and likely a combination of multiple photos.

edit: but i will say, some photos naturally have a 'fake' look to them. after reviewing the photo, im officially up in the air as far as my decision goes as to whether this is photoshopped or not, because I have seen some weird looking unedited photos.

1. hes not even looking at or moving towards the fire.
2. the word palestinian is mentioned.

qualifies as bad journalism at the very least. also might be easier to verify if that model of truck or that species of tree exists where the pic is supposed to have been taken.

The truck looks like a Ford Ranger.

To me the guy looks pasted in and the fire behind the truck seems to be coming from nowhere.

Look at the rear right tire of the truck - it shows no damage. Even the truck is CTRL+Ced and then CTRL+Ved

its pretty obvious that its photoshopped. the focus on the guy is much clearer than the truck. and its obvious thats it not just because he's in front of the it. weird :shocked:

The guy MIGHT be pasted in, but I don't know. In any case he's an idiot if he thinks that extinguisher is going to take care of a massive gasoline fire like that.
