How patient are you when waiting for stuff you bought on ebay?

I won this on the 8th, paid immediately.

Didn't hear anything from him until I e-mailed him on the 18th, he said he had dropped them off to be shipped on the 16th.

It's now the 25th, & I still have no tracking info or amp.

I'm not in a big hurry, the sub isn't even finished yet, but it is almost $300 that I have tied up in a product I've yet to receive.

Should I give this guy more time? I'm e-mailing him again, but I'm getting a little impatient.

He's had plenty of time. Tell him you need a tracking number within 24 hours or you'll have to take action.

Susan bought a Janet Jackson DVD on eBay, paid for it immediately via non-cc Paypal.

It wasn't even shipped until 1 month later, she left positive feedback but did comment that it took a WHILE for it to ship.

At this point I'm more worried about potentially being scammed (though he is verified by both ebay and paypal), although I must admit part of my impatience is due to the sub being almost done.

The 100W output on my receiver will hardly do the beast justice, I need that amp!

Give him 24 hours. Whenever I sell items, I always ship it out the same day I receive payment or the day after if it's after 4pm. If I'm unable to, I'll tell the bidder/buyer that I won't be able to ship the item out till so and so date. This guy's taking you to the cleaners.

Sellers should generally ship within 2-4 days. Otherwise, they usually don't have the product yet, or they are really lazy.

I have to agree with this...some people will sell items they don't have at the time..kinda like a middle man. They will sell the item to you, then order the item at a cheaper price and then ship it to you after they recieve it. Not a good practice in my opinion. I ALWAYS ship within a day or two, And the fact that he did not email you with any of this information is a real red flag, expecially with an item of this price. I would try to get a shipping or tracking number from him and if he doesn't I would report him.

I use a "tracking number connected method" regardless of if I'm the buyer or seller. If there's no communication to my invoice within 24hrs, I ask if they received it and to respond within 48 hrs. Never had anyone flake yet.
I always email within a few hours of confirmation that I won the auction. Good communication eases anxious feelings.
If you have no tracking number, get one or prepare to start collection proceedings.
I've started using USPS Priority mail to send payments as it then involves the USPostal Mail Fraud statutes if they renege on the deal.

21 days and I send a warning message, if not rectified by 28 days, then negative feedback left, fraud notification all around.

I wouldn't have waited that long. Obviously something is fishy with this whole scenario. Email them every 4 hours and ask them what the tracking # is or else you're gonna do a chargeback.

Take action. As mentioned above after 30 days you will be significantly crippled in any effort to recover the money.

If you're going to sell on fleabay, especialy something that expensive, there is no reason not to ship it out within 2 business days.

I'm very impatient....if I don't get what I purchased within 7 days, I reject the package and the charge to my credit card.

When he hadn't replied by this morning I filed a squaretrade case.

He responded to the case (and my previous e-mail) in ~30 minutes, & gave me a tracking number. Apparently he forgot to send it to me.

The package is due on Monday, says it was shipped on the 22nd - 14 days from when I paid.

As long as I get it in good shape etc. I'll leave him positive feedback, but I'll probably mention the shipping delay.

Now the trick is getting at least one of the subs done so I can test this monster that I have created.

I had a similar thing happen it took this guy 27days to get me my package and he charged me 10x his cost for shipping. I left him negative feedback.
