I have an ASUS A78NX Del Rev 2.0 Bios Ver 1007.

I am trying to install windows XP Pro on my SATA Hard Drive which uses SATA Drivers that I need to specify.

I no longer have a floppy drive but a USB Floppy Drive.

I have not been able to either boot from the USB Floppy or make the WIndows Install see it.

I have enabled 1st Boot Device USB FDD and also Floppy seek.

Any help greatly appreciated...

help!

so far when i use floppy seek it seems like it does, the light comes on but when for example I used Win 98 to boot and use command prompt...I was unable to enter the floppy by using letter b:

no the bios does not have that option, I have only seen that on newer chipsets like the Radeon Xpress 200...to name one.

Can you direct me on how to do that slipstream?

Disable the A: drive in the BIOS and then try again.
If your floppy is coming up as B: then Windows Setup most likely won't see it.

Not all USB ports, such as front USB ports, or PCI card USB ports are bootable.
Try using only a USB port adjacent to the PS2 port, at the rear of the computer case.
Then with the USB floppy drive attached to that USB port, go into bios setup, and see
whether "Bootable USB" now appears as an option.
