Ok people, here is my dillema. i am one of the idiots who went out and bought the supermicro 760a case just because i THOUGHT i needed it. Now this sucker is way too loud. I am going to replace the powersupply fan with a panaflow to keep things quiet. The powersupply fan on my ablecom 300 watt powersupply has a 2 PIN connector. Now, i have never seen anyfan with this connector anywhere. It does not use a 3 pin connector, i have tried. Where can i get these 2 pin converters, if they exist??? my only other option is to snake the fan wire through my powersupply case and use a molex connector.

Huh. Just run it through your case. That's what I did. Then you can monitor the RPM, at least.

Personally, I've never considered noise to be a problem.. ;)

usualy if you tightly secure a fan and the fan blades arent damaged, the fan is stable and quiet..
