How Olympic officials are stopping counterfeiters using DNA

The article above, which I originally saw on Slashdot talks about how the folks down under are using a special DNA in on their officially licensed products. They're sending "logocops" all around the country with special guns that can read the DNA from the tag and see whether or not it's real.

I'd be very weary to wear something knowing it had someone else's blood on it. What if he's got some sort of communicable disease that hasn't shown up in the testing? Yeah, that's a great idea: get the world sick.
