How old were you the first time you fell in love?

I don't mean an infatuation, a crush, or a like... I mean really, truly, deeply, hopelessly, helplessly, happily in love. How old were you, and what was it like? If it's happened more than once, did you feel as strongly the second/third/etc. time around?

Peace,
Dezign

Never been. Visual Basic is a religion that prohibits one from feeling compassion or love for anyone but your own code.

Tough to say. My definition of "love" seemed to evolve with each in depth relationship I was in. I could look back onto about all of them and say that I wasn't truely in love.

I've known my current gf when I was 20 and now I am 25 but I truly fell in love and thought that she was the one for me when I turned 23.

i have to say 17. i just knew. ( i am still with the same person) Plus, i feel even more strong about it now than i did before. Its like love makes everyday worth it for me. (sappy, i know) but there is no other way to explain.:)

I was 20. I am now 23. We are no longer together and I have loved no one else since, but I know I was in love. I am looking for the next lucky lady.

Perhaps you'd find her sooner if you adopted a more humble view of yourself. ;)

I would say I've been in love twice: the first time at 17, and the second at 20. We'll see if the third time's the charm! :)

How did/does it feel, and how do you KNOW you're in love? More specifics? "Wonderful" is good, but it doesn't really explain it... if you can explain it. Just curious, as I've never been.

Peace,

Isn't being in love kind of like being The One... or is it vice versa...? I always get confused... :)

So, I guess you'll know if the person makes you say "Whoa..." But I wouldn't know, I'm 22 and have never even been close to being in love...

i think you dont know you are until you realize you could lose it. one day, my man and i got into a big argument, and at the thought that he may not want to be with me anymore, is when i realized i wouldn't know what do do without him. not as though i am needy or helpless, but the thought of "what if he is no longer in my life anymore". I think, true, unconditional love grows over time if it is the real thing, it really is a feeling of your butterflies in your stomach, a happy restlessness when you are away from them, a comforting feeling when you are with them that nothing can harm you, you are safe.

Being in love is when you meet someone that you always want to be around and never get tired of them. You like them so much that you'd do anything for them and they'd do the same for you. You feel like you are on cloud 9, especially toward the beginning of the 'in love' era.

Another key sign is that you cannot wipe the smile from your face. You'll know it when you're in love, trust me.
