This was inspired via a discussion with a co-worker who claims he knows a person who is 36 years old and is a grandfather!!!
This inspired a search, which yielded the youngest mother ever. (here is another link).
I still haven't looked up dad...

Now the 36 years old grandfather makes so much more sense... :Q

Her 34-year-old mother, who gave birth to her youngest child eight months ago, said she was 'proud' of her daughter.

Even with the wiki, this is really hard for me to swallow. I saw some sources siting the Los Angelas Times and such but they were without links. If anyone can find an old archived news article from a source like this one, then I would like to read it.

Having a grandchild at 36 isn't such a bad deal, you'll probably be able to even play ball with your grandson.
Though it gotta suck having to raise kids from when you're 18.

i had a teacher in high school claim that he had taught 3 generations of the same family, the grandmother, mother, and daughter, and that another generation was around 11 at the time. I think he retired before he taught the fourth generation.

Just out of curiosity, what part of the country was this in?

It's not hard to envision 36 year old grandparents.

Think about all the 16-18 year old girls that get knocked up in HS.

It's not hard to imagine that the apple does not fall far from the tree and the children of these 16-17 year old girls will end up being pregnant in HS themselves.

My mom was 15 years 10 months and my dad was 16 years 5 months when I was born in 1972.

I have no kids and have never been close despite having a female sex partner almost constantly since I was 18. Proper birth control ftw.

A girl I knew back in high school had a mother that was only 13 years older than her and her grandmother had her mom when she was 13 as well.

Oh my God. That's just unreal. I wonder who really got that poor girl pregnant. And...if she ever got to where she really saw him as her son instead of her brother.
