How old is too old to be living at home with the parents?

After what age should someone seriously consider moving out of the house?

It depends on your family, but once you get a job that you can support yourself on, get out.

23, or whenever you finish college (undergraduate level). I moved out at 18 and haven't looked back!

I have a friend who makes $90k a year and lives at home with his parents. He's 30. Yes, he's a loser as well.

19 here, and living with parents.

Not by choice though, there's a long list of things causing me to have to, starting with location.

i would like to move out, but now i have financial obligations that won't let me. plus, im considering quitting work within a couple of months and coasting till i go to school. ill be home till next year.

WOW

13. Once you're a teenager, your parents should no longer be responsible for your well being and you should be able to survive on your own.

he aint a loser in my book if he plans on buying a house in ....cash.

If he is living in his parents basement at 30 he will probably walk into the real estate office and slap down some hard earned monopoly money for baltic avenue

Seriously 19

One year after HS graudation.

After college is BS, which college student can't get a part time job and get a roomamate. Even here in the Bay area you can get a 2bd 2bth apartment for $1200/month. Split between 4 thats only $300/month. Apply for student loans if need be.

Why move out? to be a man, drink beer, party with chicks. Making all your own rules.

I moved out at 17 and dont regret my decision at all. I understand its within the Asian cutlture to live at home till your married and 35 but seriosuly, what women respects a man who lives at home with his Mommy?
