How old is ATI's 9800pro?

and still most excellent if you are only driving dual 17" CRTs (like me 😉)

EDIT: it would seem mid 2003 from some googling...

i know i've only had mine since just before the 6XXX and X800s, when it was still king of the hill, and that was over a year ago now.

2001 was Geforce3//Geforce3 Ti/Geforce2 Ti and Radeon 8500 time
2002 was Ti4600/4400/4200 and Mx460/440/420 and Radeon 9500/9700
2003 was FX5xxx and 9600/9800time

If i remember correctly, exactly 2 years and 3 month old...at least for retail disponibility.

Launched March 6th, 2003 - so roughly 2 years and 4 months
The actual architecture is much older and goes back to 9700 series.

Yep...And like i said..took about 1 month to get it in retail.
