Yes, all this is correct. You got plenty of other test drivers who don't care for the car like you probably would. I would test drive a car, then tell them to order one exactly like it and then I'll take the car off the lot as its being unloaded off the truck.

I've never asked. They've always asked me, and I was serious about looking/buying that model. No problem at Jaguar, Acura, Audi, or Saab.

If you order a car aren't you less likely to get as good of a deal? I'd take one that was sitting in the storage lot since it's unlikely it was every used as a tester.
