I took the SAT in 7th grade. Scored 760 math, 330 verbal. That was actually the only time I didn't score 800 math.

Why did you guys take it in middle school, and what scores did you get? I'm curious because my brother was asked to take the SAT in 8th grade for some Johns Hopkins scholarship award for kids in the 99th percentile in the standard exams. Of course, he refused, because he didn't want to give up his Saturday taking that test, and because he felt that everyone would think he was a nerd taking the SATs that early.

I took it for Duke University's TIP program, where you can take some college courses in the summer in middle school if you score high enough. I learned more in the Pascal course I took there than in any course I took at college age in college.

I dont think there is an age limit to take it, but I dont think they can count for National Merit stuff untill your a Junior in HS, but I could be wrong about this, but I doubt it.

i think you'll always learn quite a bit in your first programming class, regardless of what the language is or when you take it.
