How often does OrangeKid's server send out completed units back to SETI?

It is set to connect between 2am and 4am CDT but it will over-ride this if a Q needs to get WU's(falls below it's minimums) or a new user connects (ie: a pass through).
So, officially once a day, but it could connect at anytime.

Hows that for a messed up answer 🙂

EDIT--Sometimes I manually have it connect if I see a large amount of WU's waiting to be sent-------better safe than sorry.

If I have something sitting in the proxy that I want dumped, I generate a pass through and it flushes almost immediately. Hope you don't mind OK! 😱

Thanks OK.

How do you generate a pass through?

Well, I hope OK doesn't mind if I tell my method.
  1. I have a sub-directory that contains SETIDriver and a copy of the cli.
I dial into the internet on my system that has SETIQueue running
I do a connect on my SETIQueue to flush the results
(my priority is set to flush first, then fetch)
    I stop the current SETIDriver.
I cd to the "flush trick" directory and start SETIDriver
I keep cache size set to 0, so I now change it to 1
I then click the transmit button which executes the cli
Since their is no WU or any .sah files it asks me the "1 or 2" question
I select 2, which indicates I am a returning user with an existing SETI account
I enter my SETI id and hit return
    That starts the pass-thru process
Once I get a new WU, I stop SETIDriver
I rename the "1" dir to any number not in my current SETIDriver dir. 99 is usually safe.
I move the renamed dir to the SETIDriver dir and restart SETIDriver
I delete the .sah files in the "flush trick" dir
Then I head over to OK's proxy site and find that all the WUs have been flushed.

It may seem complicated, but it actually goes pretty fast.

Wow, thats a lot of work to get my Q to flush.
Any particular reason to do this?
Would it be better to flush the work at a different time? so as to take advantage of someones stats pulls?
I could reset the time to something else, I just use the 2am to 4am window as we are all in bed usually at that time here and it won't bother anyone gaming, surfing, etc.
Let me know if a different time would be better as it really dosen't matter to me.

There are various reasons to want the proxy to flush. I travel every other weekend and for a week every month, or so. When I return I often have a batch of WUs that didn't get sent in due to system problems. So, I want to get them to SETI ASAP.

I also have personal goals that I may want to reach before the flush. It may be someone I want to pass, or a milestone that I don't want to wait 24 hours to have it hit. All silly reasons, but since I'm away from home in my corporate apartment I usually just want something to do.

It really only takes me a minute to do a flush since I have the directory setup.
