How often does Gateway change their prices?

Well, I finally got the money together and I was going to get the M250X this week, but it just went from $900 up to $1000. How often do they change their pricing?

Are there any other 14" widescreens out there that are thinner than the HP DV1000? The ASUS W3V is nice, but I'm not going to pay $1900 for a laptop when the Gateway / HP 14" ones are about half the price.

 
Call them up, I'm sure you can coax a sales rep to let you have it at or below the former cost. You might be able to use the dell coupons ($750 off and 40% off) as bargaining leverage as well.
