How often do you wash your cup at work?

I only drink Ice Water. I rinse it out every morning to get rid of the leftovers. I wipe it out every week. I don't use soap or anything though. That I do maybe once a year if that.

Thanks for supplying the answer I anticipated would be posted the most. 🙂

i drink water out of a bottle. i use the same bottle pretty much for a week then i buy a new one. for the occasional cup of coffee, i just use the provided styrofoam cups.

To me washing the cup is akin to scrubbing your best iron skillet with a brillo pad. It removes all the seasoning. A well seasoned cup is very valuable.

I just unpacked mine from the box from my old job so I gave it a wash...first time in about 6 months though 😛.

Some people are very touchy.. I heard a story where someone cleaned someones coffee cup, to be nice, and the owner of the cup totally flipped out... he had apparently worked months and months to get that nice brown color to the cup and felt it added to the flavor... hahaha... oh well.

Heh...I was thinking the same thing. I guess we're just way too predictable on ATOT. 😛

I used to work for a guy who had a white plastic tumbler. Or at least white was its original color. The inside was a nasty poop brown after years and years of soft drinks. At least with coffee cups you get some high heat to kill germs on a daily basis.

I probably should clean it out more often. I use the same cup for coffee and tobacco spit. Nothing makes a cup of coffee stiff like tobacco juice.

Since I teach, I have a couple of weeks off here and there... After xmas break, the 1 inch of coffee that I forgot to dump out has mold on it... so I wash it after christmas break. Ditto after easter break, and I rinse it at the end of the school year. That's pretty much it.

I have a few drink receptacles here at work, but it's too much effort to clean them. So I just use the paper cups that they provide.
