How often do you reset your router??

I have to shut off and then turn on the adsl modem and netgear wireless router about once every two weeks. And I had my equipment since early July. Is this common with sbc yahoo??

I have SBC yahoo and I haven't reset the modem in over two months, and that time it was only because I accidently kicked the power cord out of the wall.

I used to have a netgear router that had to be reset every so often when optimum online changed my IP.

I've had my router for about 4 months...had to reset it about 5 times in the space of 10 minutes trying to get MSN VoIP working (it kept causing the connection to drop)...other than that it seems rock solid.

I also have had a D-link DI-614+ for about 6 months now, and I still haven't reset it nor my Nokia ADSL modem once.

Been using a Linksys router with my cable modem for about two years and have had to reset it once when we had a power outtage. I got a UPS for it and the modem and it has run happily ever since. The modem is another story - once in a long while, something changes at the signal source (ISP) and I have to turn it off - wait - then turn it back on. But, that is rare.

I am also using a D-Link DI-614+ and have never had to reset it since it was installed (albeit it only about 6 mos ago)

I have an RCA cable modem and a Linksys BEFSR41 router. When AT&T was my ISP, I NEVER reset it for a year or so. When Comcast bought out that division, I have had to re-power (reset didn't even work) the router (not the modem) on the average of once a week, sometimes 3 times a day ! Comcast sVcks.

The GF and I both have a Netgear MR814. In 6+ months, I've never had to reset either one. Both of us have Roadrunner.

The router? Maybe once a month. The modem gets reset about every two weeks though.
I'm using a Com21 Doxport 111 modem and a Dlink DI-704 (discontinued) router.
I did have a Linksys BEFSR11 router once; don't know if it was bad or what - it needed to be reset about every hour.

Our SBC DSL goes on the flake for an hour or so every couple of nights, but it's not the router's fault. The router gets reset only when I make a configuation change that requires a reset.

The router is a compusa router (rebadged barricade)

Shaw Cable + SMC ABR7004 only had to reset a couple times near the end of it's life (the router was dying... dead)

Never had to do one reset with my D-Link DI-704P.

i had to reset it alot but then i upgraded the firmware and i rarely do these days. I had a great uptime going on months until my friend accidently pulled the power cord/

the problem is not the router but the dsl service

sbc had a class action against them a but back

you should have gotten a notice in the mail about this

Linksys router with RoadRunner cable and only reset it once in over a year and I believe that was because of something I was doing. It's been so long I don't recall.

i was resetting my smc awbr7004 every week. just often enough to be a real pain but not so often that you threw it out and got another. firmware updates didnt help.
now i'm running a new netgeat mr814v2. 3 weeks , no reset. hope it keeps going.
sbc dsl

Lynksys router, bellsouth DSL.

the only time i've ever reset it was when I was first trying to set up my connection (over a year ago)
