Power cycling cell phones has always been common practice but that doesnt seem to be case too much with the iPhone, at least to me. How often do you power cycle your iPhone? Do you ever find yourself in a situation where you have to power cycle your phone? If you power cycle regularly do you find that it improves performance?
My other question is; how often does you iPhone (or app) freeze? Today I had a little problem with Safari; while I was loading one web site I opened a second page and loaded a site. After attempting to load a second page while loading the first page Safari crapped out. I was able to open and close Safari and the little loading icon up next to the 3G icon was moving but the status bar across the URL wasnt moving and had stopped at about 'htt'. I let the phone sit like that for about 5 minutes and got no where and I tried opening and closing Safari and other apps several times still with no success. In the end the only fix was to power cycle the phone. Is there a way to force quit an application so I ddont have to power cycle the phone int he future? Ive had my 3GS for about 3 months now and this is the second time this has happened to Safari.
