Title says it all. Just my curiosity, as I recently switched to win2k and I love it. It seemed like I had to reinstall win98 every few months. How often do you all reinstall win2k, and what usually prompts you to??

i guess I'm wondering how long my current install of win2k will last me before I will have to reinstall for one reason or another. i understand win2k repairs itself when necessary.

For myself;
I've had w2k running for about 7 mos. and have thrown D** near everything at it and it's still rock solid. So to answer your question, maybe never.

Hehe, I've thrown everything at it to. Changed many components, added/upgraded/removed software, and it didn't even slow down. However, I go recommend a format every one in a while (at least once a year) to keep everything in tip-top shape. Enjoy!

Only once after I blew up the OS by installing one of those OS skinning programs. The uninstall didn't work as advertised and I was forced to trash it and reinstall.
