How Often do you inflate your tires??

inspired by the other thread.....I realized I haven't inflated my car tires in about 7 months.

i took my car for an alignment and my mechanic told me all my tires had about 10 psi and were ruined/i needed to buy all new tires due to under inflation

Whenever I remember to check it...usually once a month...my RR tire is the only one that leaks air, and very slowly at that, so its no big deal...

You are seriously lucky your tires didn't blow out and cause you to wreck.

How the hell can you not notice you're running on tires with 10 psi??

i don't know. the guy said it must be because the car is so light (saturn sc-1). it isn't like i never look at the tires. they didn't look like they were low. <shrugs>

What is an expert? Anyways, that is said because it is always a safe answer. The correct answer is you need to inflate your tires when they are low on air. Some tires leak and need to be refilled daily, some are tight they can go months without loosing air.

So in my situation, my tires get inflated each time I get an oil change. It's built into the regular service charge.
