How often do you drink alcohol?

meh.. close to every day. I dont binge drink like I used to though back when I was an undergrad. I'll have a glass or two of wine with dinner if my GF is over. Otherwise, i like to smoke a cigar once a week, and i'll have a glass of whiskey with that. Other than that, I stick to beer. There are probably two nights a week where I actually get drunk.. the other nights its just one or two drinks.
 
I voted 5 times a week... it's close to everyday but usually there's a day or two where I don't drink. Most of the time it's only a beer or two though.
 
Every day but it's getting very expensive. A Greycliff and 18yr Macallen every day really puts a dent in the wallet.
 
Once on the weekend and generally one night a week as well. Usually just one drink and never more than 3 (3 is very rare, 2 happens ocasionally). Drinking less beer has actually helped me convince my wife that we can afford the good stuff - Harp, although I had a nice Goose Island last week.

Harp is good stuff? It's $10/12 pack here. Pretty cheap if you ask me. Great Divide is the good stuff. Guinness is the good stuff. Bear Republic is the good stuff.
 
Average 3-4 drinks a day 5 times a week.

I usually have a beer or glass of wine with dinner at 6 and then drink a couple more glasses or have a couple more beers after the kids go to sleep.

I drink a lot, for an American but not so much for a European 🙂

That would be awesome. The only thing I can stomach at those prices around here is Amberbach. Harp is about $8/6 pack here. Guiness is priced the same but I've been on a Harp kick lately. I also have liked the Leinenkugels (sp?) Creamy Dark that my father in law left behind.

The number of days during a given week or month varies for me, but when I do drink I rarely have less than 3... never really understood the point of "social drinking", I want to at least catch a buzz. If 5+ constitutes binge drinking, then i guess you could classify me as a "periodic binge drinker" 😛
 
5 or so times a week. Maybe once out of those I'm trying to get drunk. My GF thinks I'm an alcoholic, but she's joking (I think).

Pretty trashy of you to make such a broad generalization about something and people that you obviously wouldn't have any idea about.
 
This thread makes me sad... In the good 'ol days of college, I was quite the heavy drinker. Then I graduated, moved away from my friends, and hardly ever have a drink... I throw a poker party (more drinking with buddies than cards) about once a month and get a nice buzz on.

I'm also a lazy drunk. I hate to go bars. I much rather throw a party and have the ability to pass out wherever I like and not have to worry about driving. 🙂
