well how many times per year? It's reccomended that you clean your refridgerators coils 4 times per year to cut down on the electric bill...since dust on them makes the fridge have to work harder..

Outside coil on a reefer box is the condensor so yes lots of dust will increase the head pressure and drive the compressor amps up using more power. I have no idea as maintenance does the PM's on that stuff here.![]()

Our frige is quite old, and it only draws 230W while on. That's including the bulb.
Not too bad really. It costs us 8$/mo, or about 100kWh in use a month.
