How often do you clean your refridgerators coils?

well how many times per year? It's reccomended that you clean your refridgerators coils 4 times per year to cut down on the electric bill...since dust on them makes the fridge have to work harder..

Outside coil on a reefer box is the condensor so yes lots of dust will increase the head pressure and drive the compressor amps up using more power. I have no idea as maintenance does the PM's on that stuff here.

Well if there's no FOD fouling there will be no increase in head pressure. Some folks must live in barns though.

Where are these coils? I guess I could clean them, but where are they and how do I clean them correctly?

Although a thin layer of dust on the top of the coils won't increase the electric bill by more than a dollar or two.

I dunno.. I think I cleaned ours for the first time in like 4 years a while back.

Our frige is quite old, and it only draws 230W while on. That's including the bulb.

Not too bad really. It costs us 8$/mo, or about 100kWh in use a month.

The bulb is ON only when the door is open.
