How often do you clean your house/apartment

for the last 3 years I have had really clean roommates (2 different roommates) so we kept things pretty neat and we only had to really "clean" the apartment once a month or so .

now one of my best friends and his g/f moved in and now I have to do a full scale cleaning about twice a week...its crazy the difference...i could do a full scale cleaning every other day, but i usually try and do it only twice a week

You'd better regulate now before it gets out of hand. They probably leave pots/pans/dishes out after dinner and run to their room and bone, right? That's how filth accumulates.

haha, yeah, about 25% of them dont even make it to the sink...I keep hoping they get the idea when I come home and clean up every couple of days.

thats why its easier living with strangers at times, cause its easier to get mad...

the thing is i am far from clean, but after living with 2 really clean people i really like it, especially if im going to have guests over

and they wonder why we have ants all of a sudden 🙂

regulate on them 🙂

My roommates are pretty clean, but i wasn't. Now i'm picking up the slack to make sure not to piss them off.

Yeah, they've gotten the idea all right. They've gotten the idea that you're their kitchen-bitch, and will soon progress to expecting meals from you.

Stop being a doormat and tell them to start cleaning up their own sh!t or you'll pile it in front of his door.

I don't know.

Ask the girlfriend. Somehow my house is just magically cleaned. I think she has fairies come and do it.

wedding bells yet?

nah, but we're talking about it some.

glad to hear!

hope she doesn't turn out like your ex (and I hate to bring that up, I know how much pain she caused you)

"Full-scale cleaning"? Maybe once a year at most; the kitchen I clean up as I use it and maybe do more thorough cleaning every couple of days, but I'm just a single guy and there's nobody here to make messes. I clean other parts of the house as the mood strikes me, but a complete top-to-bottom cleaning takes something like three full days, so I don't do it that often.

I do a full scale cleaning once a week - I HATE A DIRTY HOUSE. But, I do clean something just about everyday.

Once a season for a full cleaning. I do my dishes as I use them, but my roommate does his dishes when the ants and roaches start moving in.

I try to vacuum at least once a week and do a full-scale cleanup once a month or so. Other stuff like dishes and stuff get cleaned up daily so we don't end up looking like we live in a crack house.

its not like that...i knew what they were like coming into inviting them to live here....i have known them both for over 5 years and they have always been dirty, the thing was so was i...but now im clean so i get kinda annoyed when i look over and see a plate sitting in the center of the couch (just noticed that)

dishes and garbage = as needed. I vacume/dust my bedroom at the end of every week, and wash the sheets once a month.

cleaning lady comes once a week to take care of everything else.
