How often do you clean your bathroom?

I clean mine about every two weeks, give or take a couple days. It's not my favorite thing to do, but I really like using a clean bathroom (especially a clean toilet). My bathroom's small (and carpeted), so it's a quick process - only about 20 minutes.

I absolutely HATE cleaning the shower, though. No matter what I do, the curtain always gets mildew on it, and it's impossible to get off. I've only had my current shower curtain for 2.5 months!

Wife cleans whole house about 1/wk. I help w/ some stuff.

Shower doors are a PITA to clean, but, they do get clean vs curtains you have to toss after a while.

Do you leave the curtain open or pushed back?

Do you leave the door to the bathroom open or closed?

If you leave the curtain fully extended and the door open it should help.

Our bathroom gets cleaned maybe once a month...rarely all at the same time. One time it'll be the toilet, another the tub/shower, and another time the sink/countertop. Depends on if I do it or the wife does.

In our defense, we are relatively clean people so there's never urine on the floor or running down the sides of the toilet or things like that.

I clean both bathrooms once every two weeks. If I don't, they start to smell pretty rank.

Grout doesn't really get clean... best thing we did was to seal it. I actually have to reapply the sealer (supposed to do 1/yr, been almost 2). That has keep the grout nice. We also chose darker color grout when we made our selections. That has helped too. Really just have to get soapscum off doors and vinegar/water solution works well for that (with some scrubbing).

I love a clean bathroom. I have to keep it clean everyday or I'll freak myself out. WHen I was young however I let the room be declared a biohazord before I cleaned it.

Yeah, I'd clean it more often if I was messy...but I always wipe up water splashes, whiskers from shaving or spilled soap.

Also, about the shower curtain, mine is a fabric one that's supposed to be antibacterial. It has suction cups on both ends. I usually detach the suction cups after each shower and leave it extended about halfway across the shower. Problem is, the door blocks the shower, so it makes it tough to venilate the shower.

I'm gonna get some pics up...hang on.

Oookay...pics time:
shower1.jpg - it's supposed to be a fabric antibacterial material, but it's getting smelly already.
shower2.jpg - the door blocks the shower when it's open, so it impedes venilation.

EDIT: shower pouf is my sister's! REALLY!

Yeh, vinegar & water is one of the best cleaners out there. Smells like poo...but it does a great job. You can buy a gallon of it for a buck also!

It works pretty good, but I doubt it's better...it's less toxic, though. ;)

Those "Tilex" type cleaners work pretty well on soap scum, in my experience.

Since my bathroom is in my room basically (1/2 bath), and I clean my room like every month or so, I usually do it about once a month... only takes me about 10 minutes total with scrubbing the toilet, organizing the magazines, dusting the exhaust fan, cleaning the mirror, and vacuuming the rug :D

Once every 1-2 weeks. Depends on how many showers we take and also if we have had any wings.

Spray vinegar/water on towel till damp. Wipe doors down a section at a time. Go back over with dry towel (a little pressure). Glass door is clean, no toxic fumes. Works very well. Also cleans off chrome stuff, sinks, etc. For tougher stuff we have some 409 around, but, never need it for the bathroom.

Occasionally the chrome builds up a spot that we need a chromecleaner to touch up, but, very rarely. Usually the vinegar and water works wonders.

This book rocks.

As often as it needs it. Luckily, my roommate Heather usually can't stand it and takes care of it. It's like a game of chicken really.

My wife and I have separate bathrooms, so i tend to be a bit of a slob when it comes to my bathroom. I usually clean it about once a month, though.

Hilarous, clean bathroom? I cleaned it once so far, I bet the previous person didnt even clean it at all in 2 yrs. I dumped a bunch of Comet into the toilet and into the shower to clean it, sprayed tilex all over the shower doors to get the soap scum off. The toilet exterior walls are beyond cleaning, urine baked on for years...

If my roommate wasn't such a woman and had a million bottles of stuff in the shower and at the sink, that could be cleaned too, but I just stare at rusty lime deposits on the countertop.
