how often do you clean the inside of your case?

I guess once. Maybe twice. I don't honestly recall. I don't have a need to since my filters do a good job. I can just run a canned air and vacuum combo over the filters to take care of any dust that accumulates.

The only time I clean the inside of my case - maybe when I open it up to install something I will see a layer of dust. Then I blow it out (with my mouth/lungs, not a can), sneeze violently 2 or 3 times, then close the case back up again.

Hmmm about 2 - 3 times a year,I`ve a window so can see the dust build-up,lucky for me my case takes awhile for any dust build-up.

About once a year. I use shopvac and suck out all the dust buildup. I'm too cheap and lazy to buy compressed air.

I blow in it sometimes, caned air just cost way too much. I am about to buy a 200mph leaf blower, hopefully that will work better then my breathe and as well at canned air.

I use an air compressor too, it does a great job of removing the dust from my case. I usually do it at least once or twice a month, but usually whenever I install something new.

When I see something like this, I laugh but realise it's a bigger job than it appears.

I actually did blow out a machine that dusty in the office once and it looked like someone lit a smoke grenade. It's also quite hazardous to have all those particulates drifting around so...

If your case is bad, take the time to unplug everything and drag it OUTDOORS and blow it out! At least this way the dust that comes out will not get sucked back in. 🙂

Cheers!

That's funny. I run into filthy cases once in awhile and just close them back up as quickly as possible.

When I install something new, or reinstall the os. If the system is unstable, registry a mess, harddrives fragmented as hell etc, I don't really care much about dust in the case.

It's just last week that I vacuum-cleaned mine..resulted in my primary hard-disk very unable to start itself up, in other words the electronics telling the little engine to start prolly got zapped. And the pipe from the vacuumcleaner didn't even come into physical contact with anything except the chassi floor..I was so careful ..well 😛 I won't exactly do that again.
