Is it like every quarter or so? Trying to decide whether I can limp by until the next round of reductions.

Generally, when a new set of CPU's are released the prices of the lower speeds, drop dramatically.

ugh, so it's not a predictable schedule huh? k, thx.

Well I guess u could look at the Intel and AMD price schedule, wait for the hammer release otherwise get something now in the low end area.

This last year we have seen them in about 2 month ranges as INtel has ramped up fast this last year...Rumors and articles floating around have suggested INtel will not be bumping up the mhz maybe for 6 months and instaed may be dropping back and releasing older speed chips in 800mhz fsb and hyperthreading...So how that may effect prices may be questionable. May not see quite the drops we have in the past when a higher speed chip hits the market. However Intel really has been setting its schedule based on AMD as of late...so...if AMD ramps faster and barton is a success at 400fsb INtel may be forced to bump up its schedule...
