How often are you broke?

When am I not broke?

Bad decisions when younger... still trying to recover.

It's not that I'm destitute... just after covering all of the bills there is little to nothing left... at least for now.

My goal is to be debt free... now if I could just get life to stop in the meantime. lol

What kind of bad decisions?

i've been going broke like a week of each month for years now. I just gotta raise so hopefully i'll start saving enough to keep my head above water.

Once in a while... i work 40-60 hours a week on a thesis, PAYING to work, just so i can graduate and never really use my major. I do work part time at a restuarant, and work freelance whne I get the chance and i make decent money doing it...its' just that im too busy with school.

Eh... i've made it this far, might as well finish.

What do you mean by broke?
Right now my cell phone is shut off (Not that I rightly give a damn) and its going to be a toss up whether my Dish TV is cancelled or I get the bill paid in time. I've got a combined total of about 16 bucks in my wallet and as much in my checking account. I got paid 2 days ago.
Then again, I own a home and have yet to be late on a payment. I'm saving some 500 bucks a month in various investments.

So, how do you define broke?

A few times in college, because I was paying for everything. I just bunkered down and tried to save all I could. My parents helped out when they could.

Having less than $10 at any given point in time.
Having to borrow money to pay bills. Or not paying bills because you cannot afford them.

broke as in zero money, or as in bills to pay but money to pay them with and not much else?

Well being broke can be having no money because of bills or having no money and no bills. Just broke.

Credit cards got me in trouble. But I had to pay for college some how cause the parents didn't help me out.

Now, I make decent money but I am still broke. I still blame the credit card debt which is getting better but my housing costs have recently doubled(roommate split on me) and my american made POS car has either been broken into or something has broken on it each month.

Things will turn around come January but it is quite stressful right now.

I'm the brokest guy in the thread.

Having to borrow money to pay bills.

I stand on my own two feet.
Well, on my wifes too sometimes.

Or not paying bills because you cannot afford them.

More of a mismanagement issue then not being able to afford them. Life is too short to spend your days paying bills. 😱
