Not myth. If women live together for more than like 6 months, their cycles become more or less the same.

I suppose the rules are different if you're trying then. It only took us one cycle and we're doing fine.

A lot of factors can contribute to a woman being late on her period, and 1 week isn't uncommon so I wouldn't worry just yet

It can be pretty often. Things to be aware of are hormone imbalances, physical stress, emotional stress, general fatigue from lack of sleep, diet changes.... All of these can cause her cycle to change. BC does help regulate it, but every woman's body is different.

GF is often a few days late, up to 2 weeks late (like every few months). I get a little anxious sometimes, but then its usually stress related, or that stuff Scarpozzi mentioned.

sound like aborted

he has a sad face, you are a moron.

there is a thing known as a miscarriage

to be honest, this actually the first time i've ever divulged this info to anyone. and DaWhim wasn't far from the truth either. i was with my ex at the time and she found out at the doc's office, and didn't tell me until at last a few days afterwards. she was a bit depressed about it and didn't eat for days. at the end, she miscarried. but a part of me thinks that she tried to force the misscarriage so she wouldn't have to go through with the abortion. it makes me sad to think that i could have had a 6 year old right now. but at the same time, i knew that i wouldn't have been ready for something like that. thinking back on the 4 years that i wasted with her makes me angry a lot of times.

My wife missed a month not too long ago, got excited, and then got it again a month later. We're now confirmed to be pregnant though, which is a good thing.

However, when it gets to be 9 months late, and they've put on some weight around the middle, you may want to look into that pregnancy thing a little closer.

Good luck.

Almost never for my wife. The one time it did happen when we were dating I was scared out of my wits for 3-4 days until she phoned and said all was OK.

no reason why I'm asking....
Of course not...

i will say finding out your g/f is pregnant is one of the worst things a guy can find out.

It all depends on the person. We hadn't planned on it, but I wasn't upset about it or anything.

If she had to phone you to tell, you probably weren't close enough to have sex and it would've been someone else's. ;)

wow, nicely timed thread... my g/f is not on BC (she hates taking pills), and almost two weeks late now. her cycle is pretty inconsistent, but this is freaking both of us out. since she's not on BC, we use Ortho Delfin (spermicidal foam, not gel) and condoms. over the previous month, there have been times when neither the condom, nor the foam, was implemented prior to penetration (not ejaculation). it seemed to make perfect sense at the time

the EPT test came out inconclusive. the positive sign showed, but one line was darker than the other (according to the directions, this means the results are inconclusive). she has been in quite a bit of stress, losing some sleep, and recently begin taking more allergy medication (loratadine), and some acetaminophen (tylenol) for her back pains. i'm really hoping this would explain her late period.

we're going to the student health center tomorrow to get a urine test. if the test comes out positive, i'm pretty sure she'll go into depression, and pull me down with her. it would be a horrible feeling if she'd have to take the ru486 (she has made it clear she does not want a child). got my fingers crossed...
