I could be wrong, but I think the Non K or Non S versions of the I5 cannot be overclocked (even a little bit), as I believe the multipler is locked down to the chip's rated speed.

The i5 2400 can only be overclocked up to its turbo clock speed: 3.4 GHz. The chip is locked and won't let you clock it any higher than that. Only "K" chips can be overclocked -- specifically, the i5 2500k and 3570k, or the i7 2600k, 2700, and 3770k.

Also, your motherboard has the B75 chipset that doesn't allow to change the CPU multiplier, so you cant OC the CPU.

The only chipsets that allow to change the CPU multiplier are the P67, Z68 and Z77.

that what i need to know mb is chib B75 even my model p8b75-v dont have multiplayer cuz i see in bios option multi but max 31x for my cpu so
is my mb sure cant be oc even with cpu have k
and is my cpu good with new card like 660/670 or will be buttel ?
is that chib B75 better or H61

An I5 2400 paired with a 660/670 is a good match, the cpu shouldn't be holding you back in anything but the most cpu limited situations.

Can't understand a thing from what you're posting. B75 does not allow overclocking no matter if you have a locked or unlocked CPU.

iam sorry for my spelling but i am shocked when i know that all MB b75 cant overclocking

Yep. As mentioned above only P67, Z68 and Z77 motherboards will allow overclocking, whether the "up to turbo" speed on a locked chip or the more-or-less unlimited variety on an unlocked chip (2500k, 2600k, 2700k, 3570k, 3770k).

Actually, you can overclock up to 4 bins (400MHz) above the max. turbo frequency on a non-K processor with Turbo Boost.

However...

The only chipsets that allow to change the CPU multiplier are the P67, Z68 and Z77.
So it's kind of a moot point.

thx all its good u all help me and with all that its good MB very fast then my last pc amd 965 phenom II and more stable in game very smooth very fast in everything great mb with fan control 4+1+1 phase i am happy with it .
