So a now X-employee at my work wrote the email and emailed it to some managers and copied it to a selected list of other employees today.
From what I heard through other co-workers, there were some loud arguments between her and some PE's at my work prior to this email. Things boiled over, shouting match ensued. She then ran and locked herself in our software control library room (which was at the other end of the building). She sent the email, then was later escorted out of the building by security.
It was a pretty wild 30 minutes at my work. Everyone from other depts were talking about it, and requested fwd's of the email.
Cliffs:
disgruntled employee goes bonkers
locks herself in a room
gets escorted out by security

Please accept this letter as my formal notice of resignation from XXXXX effect end of day 10/2/06.
My experiences here have not always been positive due to a culture of process compromise, the lack of the whole company working as a team (therefore lacking in understanding the impact from one point of the process to another, and caring about the other), and the tolerance of attitudes towards the SCL Department from EPA's, EPS's, Engineering and Product Support. It is my belief that the SCL Department goes above and beyond to assist in the Software Release Packages, only to find that our integrity and reputations are attacked without our presence to defend. Sometimes an associate can tolerate this behavior with the support of their supervisor, but without that, there is nothing.
However, on a positive note, my experiences have not always been negative. I enjoyed working with most of the XXXXX Associates. I have experienced individuals who share in the respect given, and respect received and to you (and you know who you are) I say 'Thank You' for the opportunity to work with you, and to learn from you!
I would also like to mention that when I hurt my foot it was Mary Jane and Jennifer Wong who went above and beyond my expectation on that day, and if that was a display of their diligence, Company XXXX is lucky to have them. Alice Smith has stood beside me, and assisted me while I have been going through the healing process, and to her, Mary, and Jennifer, I say 'Thank You'!
I would like to thank the ZZZZ Team for outstanding behavior (as far as I know), and professionalism. I will do my best to complete all of the outstanding ECO's that I am currently working on, but after that, Please contact Helen York for ECO issues.
Sincerely,
Jane Doe
