So hard to answer this question. I have been buying and selling stuff online for ~10 years. This is the first forums I have been part of (been here 3 years). I create internet software for a living.

So I would say pretty damn savvy. However, there are people that make me look like a rookie. So I would give myself 8/10.

It seems to me that net-savvy would include everything from avoiding goatse links (of course, knowing what goatse and tubgirl are would fall under the net-savvy definition) to not getting your fingers burned on ebay. There are so many more specific things that go into it though, and you can just tell a net-unsavvy person when they have a hissy fit over an "article" on The Onion, forward spam, or try to convert people on a message board.

There's sites and stuff that I still haven't gotten the hang of / discovered, but if someone asks me to find nearly ANYTHING, I can probably rattle off a relevant URL off the top of my head.

How are you guys defining savvy though? Not length of use, because you can be a longtime user and still a no0b in culture, I think.

I find that I can Google pretty much any piece of information that is requested of me. Manipulating Google is my specialty. Net-savvy would be, to me at least, the ability to get what you want out of the internet.

I think I am halfway net savvy, but I get lulled into a false sense of security sometimes and do stupid stuff every once and a while by accident.

By accident I mean giving out my real email address or name, etc.

I would rate myself an 8/10.. I'm sure there are "better", but I'm also more net-savvy than most of the general population.
