It's funny you ask this, because The Guardian just posted a study showing that people in many western countries overestimate the size of their Muslim population. In the US, it's particularly bad -- the average estimate was that a sixth of Americans are Muslim.

No wonder certain people in this forum are convinced that a ban on Muslim immigration is okay... they've tricked themselves into thinking that there's a massive horde of Muslims coming in and that nationwide Sharia law is just around the corner. Sorry, folks, but the numbers are tiny... and Clinton's policy wouldn't have made much of a dent.

I live in a city that has 98K of which 40% or so are Arabic. To the usual TrumpTard low information bigot that means there are 40% Muslims. However, probably 1/3rd or greater are Chaldean, Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian etc and are in fact Christian... Most of the Muslim men are totally Americanized and an ever increasing amount of Muslim women have ditched the traditional Muslim garb completely... You would be very hard pressed to be able to identify who is a Christian and who is a Muslim by looking or talking to any of them.

The NYC population has got to be close to 10%. For a city with a total population of approximately 9M, the Muslim population estimate is somewhere between 600k to 1M. Some are completely Americanized although there are parts of Queens that look like Middle Eastern cities both in terms of signage and the style of dress.

So long as they keep launching halal carts there is no complaint from me.
