Kinda depends on where everything is.. (speakers, router, reciever etc)

Yeah, I think alot of speaker wire since there are 27 speakers in the Front room and kitchen.

So... basically you posted a question that can not be answered so you could tell us all you have a 5000 sq ft house and 27 speakers?

Here's an idea - buy some. If you run out, buy more. Or... take some measurements and do some MATH.

Well that wasn't your original question, but yes, there is a difference in quality. Thinner == worse. I'm not sure if Monster speaker wire is worth the money, I bought some RCA 16 guage (or 14 gauge? I can't remember, but it looked to be about the same gauge as Monster wire) and it works nicely. Don't do it cheap since you're going to run it through walls and you can't really go back and change it easily.
