How much would you say this Weber gas grill is worth?

Buying a used grill is akin to buying a used mattress, you never know what kinda nasty went on it before you owned it. No thanks.

Your analogy would make sense if the normal use case for mattresses involved burning it at temperatures above 400 degrees F on a regular basis, eradicating any and all germs on it.

As long as it's in good shape that's a fair price. I have one very similar and I love it, best grill I've owned. That thing is $800-$900 new.

He is saying he has had an offer of 400, no thanks. I am going to try and get a grill during winter, what are some good models to be looking for? I want gas

Seems kind of high given that this is peak supply and lowest demand time of the year.

Webers basically never go on sale. And good condition Webers resell quite high. $300 isn't at all unreasonable for that model in very good condition, since it retails at like $900. A little sketchy they didn't submit pictures of the actual grill though.

I have this one:

It's a badass grill for the money if you want/need portability along with a decently large cooking surface. Big enough to use at home for a family and you can take it camping or tailgating as well. Sometimes goes for as low as $100 new on a sale.

always one in the crowd!! Let me say that according to the recent decline in the cost of Dilithium crystals ad red hot jelly Bellies you should be just fine!!

I have a high level of confidence that if the mods have issue with this thread they can handle it

I have that model. Weber Genesis S-330. But mine also has a side burner. I thought all S-330 model came with side burner. 😕 I love the grill and would have no problem paying $300-400 for used one provided it's in good condition.

Dont worry about it. The price check rule has to do with someone asking how much they should sell something for. It used to evolve into a bidding war of sorts and never ended well.

I paid 225 for the next size smaller a two burner Weber . I love it , I also have a much larger charcoal grill for larger stuff . I would offer 300 . It's a very good price at 300.That looks like a stock photo , his grill might look much worse , if it does 250 . If he has an offer for 400 , why is his listed for 300 . You need to go and look at it . Open those doors and look up top left . That's the grease trap . Is it clean or rusted out . The flavor bars(little metal v shaped angled pieces that fit over the burners) , pull one up and look under it , that's the burner . Is it ok or rusted out . Was it always stored inside or out ?

I want a standard size, not going to be moving it other than from my garage to outside

Weber seems to the the standard, but I have a Kenmore gas grill I paid $175 for at Sears about 15 years ago. I have replaced about $50 in parts over the years but otherwise it still works fine. As long as you keep your grill covered and clean almost anything can work IMO.

It is true that Webers almost never go on sale.

However, retailers can reduce the price on their floor models. At the end of the season, rather than put them back in storage, many retailers will reduce prices on their floor models. OP may find it prudent to check with some of his local retailers...

Just my opinion, but I've found Weber Grills to offer an excellent value. They are an easy company to deal with and I've never had any problem getting replacement parts from them...

Full disclosure: Decades ago, I worked for the Central Illinois Weber distributor...

Thanks for the clarification. Never understood why it was enforced/added to the rules a few years ago. Kind of vague, IMO.
That rule should specifically say something like- "Items offered for sale should include an asking price. Not indicating any will not be allowed" 😉
