Just wonderin, my friend is proceeding on recording ALL eposide of Babylon 5 (on Sci Fi Channel), it's probably one of the greatest show I've even seen. He's recording every single one of them and are proceeding on encoding them on Divx MPEG4, just wonderin how much would people pay to own a set? =)

Idiot 😛 You could consider giving it away bootlegging since i don't think babylon 5 is sold on tapes, but selling is plain piracy.. and stupid. By the way, if someone rats on you, they will come after you.

I'm finishing putting together 12 seasons of simpsons episodes. For personal use there is no problem. If I decide to sell them, then I've got a problem.

Uhg!

Selling B5 bad idea, But...

B5 is not SUCK! Anything Star Trek Is!

B5 is the best sci-fi show ever. Period.

Too much so called sci-fi (like Lexx) is really science-fantasy. They don't compare. The problem is that B5's five year story line was too much for alot of people... the type of people who want a nice tidy conclusion with every episode. Those kind of people enjoyed Star Trek because it never left pondering at the end of the hour.

B5 was a sci-fi soap opera, much like Star Wars... which is the only thing that compares with it in terms of genre'

okok.. selling is a bad idea, I take that back, but hey, I do agree that B5 is way way too epic.. and I LOVE IT!!! if you don't like it, take the cd's and shove it up your a$$!!! =)

Just Kidding! =)

Actually, I would pay for it. But only if there is no other means of obtaining a digital copy (eg no Commercial DVD release avaliable or in the forseable future). And even then, I will only pay enough to cover the CDR blanks, reasonable wear & tear on the CD-Writer & shipping.

I put it in the same league as anime fansubs, eg the fansubber should not make a profit out of it. They should only promote the show by distributing whats unavialble here in the states to the fans and bring interest and awareness about the show in hopes that a commercial company will pick up the license. (eg Fushigi Yuugi)

But then again, B5 is available on television so the "unavilable in the states" does not apply. And second, B5 is fairly well known in the mainstream, so bringing awareness about the show does not apply either.

B5 ROCKS!

i was recording it off scifi too... until i ran out of space on my hd. 🙁 (80 gigs of space used. heh)
