..there's a huge racket in small dogs. The rescue org.'s and private breeders have inflated their going price. Many small dogs have lost a lot of "dog sense" in their down sizing. Their more of a novelty and cute oddity. Very diff.to house train if at all and their skeletal structure renders them to serious and easy injury i.e. knees/trachea/and othey skeletal anomalies. I've seen Yorkies go for as high as 5k and they were as dumb as a fence post and have nearly no "dog sense" but because of their extreme cuteness they sell..yes I had a Yorkie at one time but got rid of it because it simply wasen't a dog.
