I'm asking becasue i'm thinking of selling my civic for this accord. The accord was family owned and has been very well taken care of and only used a about 8-9 months a year (hasn't been used much during the winter time, it was kept in a garage.)

I know that a Civic with 130487.95 miles on it will still last for a while, but I'm just not sure how much I would pay for it.... I'll bet that you could get $2500 US out of the Civic.

How much would the Accord be? It would certainly be a step up.

I'm going to offer him whatever the dealer gives him for a trade in. Knowing he's not going to sell it privatly.

Which would be a pretty good deal for me.

you can sell them both at high price, more than what they really are worth. Because its a Honda, it gives you an extra $2000 on its actual non market value.

That's a good approach since most dealers rip you off on trade in, unless he is trading at a Honda dealer which would mean that he would get an unusually high trade in value.

plus the new car isn't at a dealer, it's family-owned.

Might want to search for the posts here in this forum on the transmission problems of v6 Accords if the car you are considering has an automatic.
