How much would you pay for a used dvd?

I'm gonna have a three day sale at an office over the weekend. I have 800 dvds that I'm gonna sell along with some video games. They're all pretty good titles like independence day, save the last dance, american beauty, road to perdition, ect. Most of them are used.

I want a flat price for all the movies and I was thinking either $7 or $8. Do you think $8 is too high?

800 X $20 = $16,000

HOLY WOW you must love dvds

yeah, 8 buck is a bit too high. beside, you will have to stockpile a large quantity of 1 dollar bills for change. ppl will pay you with Tens most likely. if you charge them 5 bucks that will increase the chance of them paying you with a Five or buying Two DVDs.

walmart beats you at 4.88 😛
but yeah do like 7.50 so that way people are inclined to buy 2 at a time rather than have to deal with change 😉

I have Netflix so I don't buy many and those I'd probably want to buy new, sealed, scratch-free.

$5 each? A lot of people with nothing better to do are spending hours burning copies from Blockbuster and Netflix rentals, even though they could just rent the movie again later, so used prices aren't that great. And many older movies now sell for under $10.

$5 to buy is what I would pay.

Any more expensive and it's cheaper to rent and burn. That's if I was a pirate, of course. 😉

depends on the what DVDs they are

I wouldn't sell something like The Ultimate Toy Box, or Band of Brothers for $7 or $8.
