How much would you pay for a 64mb CF card?

you outta see what the 1 gig one is. like 4000.

That's the correct price for the card you have listed.

Also that card is totally useless because no current software would fit on it.

-edit- correction, the retail on the 1 gig CF for that NPE is 7,000 Just the card
retail on the 64 MB one is 500 bucks, or about 250 street.

I recently bought a 1gb 80x cf card for $30 bucks. I would pay $5 dollars for that card.

Looks like cisco proprietary CF cards. Hence the pricetag.

CF is CF is CF I thought?

I've used CF cards from my camera to load configs into $100,000 Juniper M-series routers.... why would Cisco be any different?

2GB SD Card cost me £35 🙂. To think about 3.5yrs ago I paid £55 for a 128MB one!

You can use them, but I wouldn't. I've seen big boxes crash when a non-cisco card is inserted.

Ah ha! It's made by cisco! So therefore the price is perfectly justified.

All the major networking players cost about the same. They all do it.

Same as what HP, dell, sun, ibm, etc do - price the options high.

Hooray Beer!

Who doesn't like beer and profit???

I can't blame them. Most network systems adhere to the standards to the T.

this is where their R&D/Testing is focused.

And if they can guarantee their service levels and focus on their core task, then so be it.

Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Foundry are not hardware manufacturers - they are software/feature developers.

I am growing impatient with your reponse to my proposal.

While your response is witty and well thought, I must return the ring that I had set out for us.

Me, being the lover of the bush, you can understand.

Like I said in another thread.....you're matching horns of wit with the wrong opponent. Glad you have as much respect for me as I do for you. I've passed your tests, if you could please....pass mine.

love,
