How much would you pay for a 512 6800 Ultra? (Updated)

The extra memory willnot help with todays games, maybe give one or two fps in doom 3. No more because of the extra latency. As I heard someone else say, its like the situation we had with the 9800xt 256, games couldn't use the extra texture memory.
 
Can you make some lower $ amounts?

I'm morally opposed to spending more than $350 on a videocard no matter how sweet it is.

I'd pay more than $350 if I were one: really really bored/had no life. And two: had the money to blow on a $350+ video card
 
I wouldn't bother, 512 is wasted on this generation of cards, just like 256 was for the 9800 Pro.

A 512 7900 Ultra may make sense, ask me again next year.
 
I'm assuming in my price estimate of what I'd pay that I'm not getting any performance above a regular 256mb ultra.

Until I see some benchmarks that tell me differently I'm expecting 5% or less performance increase from doubling the ram.

I didn't include any dollar amounts less than the current cost of a 6800 Ultra, because that's unreasonable to expect. And further more, and some point, 512 cards will cost less than $300 dollars, but 256 cards will still be cheaper than them, hence, I stand by my poll options.
 
Current 6800Ultra + 10%-20%
It probably won't gives more performance, but more memory does cost more money.
e.g. 1GB DDR400 vs. 2GB DDR400

I wouldn't spend over $200 on a video card that won't be worth even 1/2 of the original price in a year.

Most I have ever spent on a video card is $125 and that included shipping. I have too many expensive hobbies to spend $300+ on anything computer related.
 
I wouldn't pay anything for one.

It's like the 9800XT or 5950 Ultra.

A last gasp for attention that will cost too much.
 
Current cost of a 256, maybe an extra $20.

Nothing will use 512MB except doom 3s ultra settings, and i dont really need the 10fps.
