Personally, Im not scared of the boogeyman paypal. When you start to accept credit cards, whether its through paypal or a merchant account, you are going to have to assume some risk, plain and simple. At least paypal gives you a chance to protect yourself, but you have to follow a few reasonable rules.
Don't blame paypal for the chargebacks, blame the crook who used fraud funds and yourself for allowing it to happen.
Sure you can go to a webpage that demonizes them, but you could probably find a webpage that demonizes anything. People are very touchy about paypal because its money. People simply dont say anything when things go right, and when things go wrong, they go horrible. Just watch yourself, and you'll have no problems.
If people want you to ship to unconfirmed addresses, dont. Dont ship internationally. Make sure the other person has good heat. Do all that, and youre 99% safe.
