How much would it cost to stop you from drinking/smoking/using other drugs of choice...

Say there was some instant drug test you would go through every day to make sure you haven't used your drug of choice. How much would it take for you to go sober for a year?

lol...embarassing question.

I'm admitting that not only do I acknowledge that I waste money on cigs/booze, I'd pay even more to continue.

i'd go straight edge HXC for....

$1825.00
5 bucks a day. Enough to buy some candy or chocolate and i'd still be ahead. I don't spend that much on alcohol over the course of a year...at least I hope not.

I only drink...and Bourbon isn't cheap. That said, no matter how much I got paid to not drink for one year, after one YEAR of not drinking, I'd never start again. When I need to lose weight I stop drinking for 2-3 weeks. Instant 10 pound weight loss. But I do miss it.

A year without booze is like a month without that ball-draining, brain-bustingly awesome in bed ex-girlfriend who is completely psychotic. After a month, you realize that it was your wang convincing you that all the near-death experiences were SO WORTH all those upside-down-with-icecubes blowjobs that left you mumbling incoherently and swearing to have her baby AND fix her car. Afterwards, you just know it's all for the better, you're better w/o it/her and to keep on keepin' on.

I dunno, I quit smoking, but I usually drink about 20-30 beers in a given month. I think I would stop drinking for 5K.

That said, I don't think I could give up caffeine. Coffee is my lifeblood. Also, I like chocolate. I also like tea.
If I had to give up caffeine, I would want a whole lot more than 100K per year...

My (late) uncle owned a bar in a small rural montana town. naturally, alcohol and him became very good friends... too good, one might say. so, as a new year's resolution, he resolved to remain sober for the rest of the year.

now, nobody was physically checking his BAC throughout the year, but i trusted him when he claimed to have accomplished it, and knowing his friends it would've been news had he actually failed in his task.

consequently, that following new years he resolved to get drunk all 365 days of the next year. of course, he accomplished that task as well. :)

we speak fondly of him. he was really a ton of fun to be around and he is dearly missed.

/death not related to alcohol

You seem like you could use one.

I suppose it would have to be the lump sum of all the money I would've spent on them throughout the year. Although it's scary to think about how much I probably do spend in a year on substances.
