How much would it cost to get a cable line hooked up to my house?

Just as the title says, I need to get a cable line string from the pole to the house. I might want to get cable internet after my SBC Yahoo expires this month, but I don't want to shell out a bundle just to be able to get the service. When you signed up for cable TV or internet (and if you didn't have a line to your house already), how much did it cost you to get your house properly connected?

Watch and wait for a free installation deal. They happen all the time. You might need to accept cable TV service for a month to get the deal, but you can cancel the TV service and keep the internet service after it's hooked up. It's not like they'll come rip the wire down when you cancel.

Comcast chages $20 to install to any room that is on the outside of the house.

Before I bought my house, it was in a storm that knocked out the cable to the house and the original owner never had it hooked back up.
Called up Charter and they came out and reran a new line from the pole to my house and even installed up to two new jacks inside the house for free. Anything else besides that I would have to pay for.
