How much would a 3rd party cooler help...

I have an eVGA 7800GT N15. I have it at 505/1250 stock cooling, any higher and it's artifact city. If I were to purchase the silencer or the zalman, could I get a higher overclock?
 
You might be able to get a higher overclock that what you have already but it would only be a few more megahertz. However a Silencer or Zalman would lower your temps significantly. Tweaking voltages might give you a higher OC than using a aftermarket cooler. Nice overclock though.
 
Hmm, hard to tell, your overclock is already high, but having reached this on stock cooling could mean that there's even more potential... However, I would take an AC NV Silencer 5 Rev. 3, I have one myself and it's extremely silent while cooling great...
