My 800 Mhz T-Bird (Which will soon be OC'd to 1 Ghz 😀 ) currently has only 128 MB of Corsair CAS2 RAM. I was planning on adding 256 MB or 512 MB soon, and I was just wondering if that would affect crunch time at all.
From what I can tell not a whole lot. but I would wait for the veterans to come in and tell you 😛
Im kind of interrested in this myself because I am going from 384MB pc100 cas 3 (?) ram to 512MB pc100 ECC cas 2 ram.
the amount wont affect the times, if you have 128MB and up 😉
The CAS2 does have an impact, so if the new ram is CAS3, I wouldnt change it, unless you actually want to USE the computer to something besides seti - Who does that ?? 🙂
