RGN:

Interesting, we are almost exactly reversed! I've had nothing but problems with nVidia and zero issues with 3Dfx. And we've even had mostly the same cards. Fascinating.

As for the speed of the GF2, speak for yourself. I don't consider 4.5867569 FPS a speed advantage, and the Radeon's image quality is top-notch!

I have not actually benched the cards yet, but the GF2 feals faster. BUT, the Radeon does have better image quality. 🙂

The Radeon's VIVO is PISSING me off. It will not capture, and the research(to be confirmed by Tech Supp. tomorrow) is I need to re-install Win2K with ACPI turned OFF. :|:|

I don't wanna reinstall.

If you play at high res. Radeon's better.... Just check out that article about the Radeon 64mb DDR back in July at Anandtech. You'll see that it runs real nice on a AMD system, and at 1024x768 and above, its an excellent card. The image quality is nice too, along with its superior DVD playback. I just got myself an ATI Radeon ALL-IN-WONDER, and its fast enough.

I've been hearing a whole lot about people turning of ACPI....if it's so bad WTF do we ever have it on? And how does one go about disabling it??
