Seems doubtful they'll take it.

A pawn shop is not the first place I go for welding equipment.

Maybe call local small metal work shops and ask if they're interested

I've been to a pawn shop once in my life - but I remember it having a HUGE powertool section. Like industrial stuff.

Is this typical of pawnshops, even for other things? I've never been in one, but I have a peice of I'm looking to get rid of in a hassle-free manner.

My guess is more like 30% to 40% of retail. Also powertools tend to get stolen alot - job sites, etc. And pawnshops are traditional fences and thus heavily regulated & monitored in some places. So expect some suspicion.

Er, that's not what I meant. I meant 25-40% of what it's worth. You're basically always better off trying to find a different way to sell stuff.

Seems like a big thing to ship - might cost more than that 50% to ship alone
