How much were the roses you bought yesterday?

$98 + TAX for a dozen. lol, it seems like it's going up more and more every year. Didn't it used to be like $60 standard for a dozen?

You got raped...

One of the morning shows yesterday did a bit about long-stemmed roses...prices ranged from $17 to $105 (or thereabouts) ALL included a simple vase.
The two most expensive were big name floral delivery companies...the cheapest (but not the worst looking roses)...Safeway's floral department...

(yes, my wife had the TV on while I was sitting at my computer...and since I buy her flowers...I paid attention)

I didn't purchase any roses, but I saw them in several locations for $20 or $25 for a dozen; nice looking roses too.

I purchased a couple of lobster tails, a couple of nice ribeyes, and made a very nice dinner.

Zero dollars. If I'm going to spend money on flowers, I'll buy live ones, not dead ones.

The radio is full of ads for online/phone services selling for a third of that, you know. You just have to plan a few days ahead.

Personally, I would never insult my wife by wasting over a hundred dollars of our shared money on a few flowers. But we're both practical that way. :)

Should have gotten in on the shoprunner + FTD deal. $85 shipped via local florist, and some of the best roses I've ever seen. 10X better looking than the Proflowers garbage I went with last year.

$100 all in. Included a decent vase and delivery.

I don't just do roses though. It was a mix of roses, stargazer lilies and some other assorted flowers.

Rose/Lilly/Tulip large combo bunch + vase + delivery = $50.

Where the hell did you get yours? Were the stems wrapped in gold leaf?

30 bucks for a dozen in a pretty sweet vase. To be honest, I got it cause I knew she would love the vase. I could have gotten just the roses for less, but the roses were just a bonus.

$15 plus tax. They were supposed to be $20 but they were discounted. This was 8:00pm
last night at the local grocery store.

$12 for the bouquet I got at Trader Joe's! I cooked a fancy romantic dinner though so I could get away with being a little economical on flowers.

$14.99 at Costco too. The sad part is today they will be $7.99.

Last year, me and my gf agreed to do vday on the 15th due to our busy schedules. I went to Costco to buy roses and they were $7.99/dozen. Same exact flowers they were selling the day before.
